Endowment Established to Honor Boston Fertility Doctor Selwyn Oskowitz
a blog by Jennifer A. Redmond, May 30, 2013
The New England Fertility Society (NEFS) recently announced the establishment of the Selwyn Oskowitz New England Fertility Society Endowment. Dr. Oskowitz founded the NEFS 25 years ago (then the Boston Fertility Society), and is a founder and reproductive endocrinologist with Boston IVF.
Oskowitz founded the society to allow New England-based colleagues in the infertility field to meet in a social and collegial environment and learn from each other, says Dr. Robert Oates, current president of the NEFS. Oates says the endowment honors Oskowitz as a forward-thinking doctor who stands above others in terms of personality and collegiality.
The endowment is in its early stages and may be used to fund research, the NEFS quarterly meeting, or a number of opportunities and options that are being explored, according to Oates
Congratulations to Dr. Oskowitz on this well-deserved honor!
